4th Fun

We spent the 4th at my parents house. Lucy wore her pretty strawberry dress to start the day.

After a wardrobe change she began her favorite activity...walking up and down my dad's wheelchair ramp!

She loves this turtle Mimi has in her garden.

Swimming with Daddy.

Getting into Mimi's blackberries! She eats them by the fistfuls!

Yummy!

Nashville Zoo

With the weather in the low 80's John took a day off of work and we headed to the zoo.

Lucy with her giraffe dress on.

Saying "Hi" to a pygmy goat.

More goats. They were so little and cute!

Waiting for the carousel ride.

Not a fan of the lion.

Sitting next to Daddy is much better.

Trip to Texas!

The week of 7/7-7/14 we headed to Nacogdoches, TX to vist John's parents. Lucy did very well on both flights!

We visited with Meme. She is Lucy's Great Grandmother and is 95! Lucy doesn't look impressed.

Lucy posing on her 15 month birthday. She enjoyed backing up to these stairs and having a nice little sit.

Grammy and Grampy.

Sitting on Grampy's tractor.

Inspecting Grammy's plants.

Playing in the sprinkler. It was so hot in Texas! Nearly 100 degrees every day!

Reading with Grammy.

Adoption

Many of you know I am adopted. I was able to visit my birth mother this past weekend at her home about 2 hours from Nashville. It was a nice visit and I will be forever grateful for her sacrifice.

Lucy had a blast wading in her creek.

The rest of the crew caught crawdaddy's! It was a lot of fun!

Who loves Elmo??

Sweet baby Lucy has her first non-daddy crush. She loves all things Elmo these days. She loves her Elmo pj's and can spot an Elmo a mile away in a store or in a magazine. It is so cute to watch her face light up when she sees him!

Look at these brown eyes!

When I ask her, "Where's Elmo?" she'll lift her shirt and point to him.

"There he is!"

Lucy and her buddies

We are so thankful to be living near my dear friend Emily. She and I have been the best of buddies since we were in elementary school. She has two adorable sons we spent the day with last week.

Big boy Tripp and Miss Lucy

Wilson is standing by just in case Lucy decides to give him a goldfish.

Sweet, sweet baby Miller

Girly Girl and the Grass

"Oh hey, Mom! Yeah, you can take my picture!"

"Wait a second...am I standing on...GRASS?"

"NO!!!!!!!!"
