"Swimmin' in da pool"

Lucy has been begging to swim in "da pool" lately. I bought our first little plastic pool last week. She had her first experience in it this afternoon and had a blast!

Birthday Bust

Sweet Lucy began her birthday weekend with a surprise throw up for Mommy and Daddy on Thursday morning! She continued with a fever and a serious runny nose! We decided late in the day to cancel her party. We were so sad to do that. We had planned to have both play groups over on Friday (her actual b-day). John's parents came in Thursday and it was so nice to have them here. They really helped make the day special. Lucy was feeling a bit better on Friday and seemed to really love her Mickey Mouse cake.

BIG smile and Bunny Dress

Lately when I ask Lucy to give me a big smile I get to see this adorable face! It is priceless. I was a bad mom and didn't get a picture of Lucy in her Easter dress (we were running late to church) but I did get a picture of her in her bunny dress for the Easter egg hunt at school.

First Easter Egg Hunt

Lucy attended her very first easter egg hunt at church last week. She had a lot of fun! She found her allotted number of eggs quickly! It was hard to make her stop so others could get their eggs.

Sweet pictures of a sweet girl

Lately Lucy loves to play in her baby swing. She hated it when she was a baby but now she loves it.

These flowers are from my good friend Tonya who is in my community group. My due date from my first miscarriage was February 21st. It was such a kind gesture and they are some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever received.

Snow Day in Dallas

We got A LOT of snow today in Dallas. More snow than I have seen in probably 15 years! I was more excited than Lu to go play in it. Maybe she didn't like her outfit...

Yes, I am not afraid to put Wal-Mart bags on my kiddos feet. (Oh my gosh, this picture makes me laugh so hard! As I was doubled over laughing at her she said sweetly, "Hi Mommy.")

Posing. Actually, I think she was too scared to move. That snow was deep!

I was spitting snow out of my mouth to get her to laugh. She was so ready to get inside. "Boots off. Mommy, boots off!"

Since it has been forever....

I'll post some highlights of the last couple of months.

New haircut! The mullet is gone!

Reading the church bulletin. That a girl!
