Mommy and Me Mondays at the Arboretum

Aunt Susan sent Lucy this adorable halloween dress. I couldn't wait to take her to see the "pun-kums" and wear it.

She was excited about the petting zoo but then seemed apprehensive about getting too close.


So brave! The Arboretum has face painters on Mondays and Tuesdays for the little ones and Lucy was thrilled! She wanted a butterfly and it had to be purple.

I go back to the OB tomorrow for my last look at Millie and to finalize everything for my delivery next Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.! We are so excited! Please keep us in your prayers.

Big Girl on the Bike

We FINALLY got Lucy to agree to wear a helmet (thanks to her friends Max and Miles) and she was able to take her first spin on the street. She was so happy!


And yes, I tied a basket to the front. In the house she likes to take her Little Einstein's for "adventures".


John's parents were in town this past weekend so we were able to go on a date. I told John he should TRY to look like he is happy to be with me! :)


Update on Millie: I am 37 weeks tomorrow and Millie is about 6lbs 4 oz. She has lots of hair and big chubby cheeks. Only 2 more weeks until I am able to kiss her sweet face!

Me at 34 weeks. I am not near as big with Millie as I was with Lu. Praise the Lord!! I have another sono tomorrow so I'll let you know how big Millie is now. At the last appt two weeks ago she was "long and lean" and in the 50% for weight.

Has it really been two months?

I can't believe it has been two months since my last post! It has been a busy summer! I am feeling extra pregnant (is there such a thing?) with this baby. I have been super uncomfortable and tired. I am sure chasing Lucy around has something to do with it. We almost have Millie's room finished and I cannot wait to have her in my arms on 10/26! Here are some recent pictures of our family.

Here I am at 31 weeks. We had a nice visit with John's parents Labor Day weekend.

Lucy had an amazing time at her friend Ally's gymnastics birthday party. Ally turned five and Lucy was the youngest at the party but she hung in there with the big girls. She LOVES to jump and had never seen a full-size trampoline. She was in heaven.

We had the pleasure of helping out a dear friend a couple of weeks ago by watching her little ones. Lucy had a blast hanging out with a big kid and a sweet baby girl! She is going to be a great big sister!

We tried making homemade pizza last week. Lucy had a blast and it tasted pretty good!

After three devastating miscarriages last year we are so thrilled to announce...

LUCY IS HAVING A BABY SISTER!!

Our sweet blessing is due to arrive just in time for Halloween. We are amazed and humbled that God has allowed us to grow our family. I am reduced to tears nearly every time I feel my sweet daughter move within me. Please continue to pray for us!


Lucy's first reaction to the news there would be another girl around was, "No! Baby brother!" She has warmed up to the idea and now thinks every little baby girl is HER baby sister. She will also proudly lift her shirt to show anyone the baby in HER tummy.
