Sweet pictures of a sweet girl

Lately Lucy loves to play in her baby swing. She hated it when she was a baby but now she loves it.

These flowers are from my good friend Tonya who is in my community group. My due date from my first miscarriage was February 21st. It was such a kind gesture and they are some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever received.

Snow Day in Dallas

We got A LOT of snow today in Dallas. More snow than I have seen in probably 15 years! I was more excited than Lu to go play in it. Maybe she didn't like her outfit...

Yes, I am not afraid to put Wal-Mart bags on my kiddos feet. (Oh my gosh, this picture makes me laugh so hard! As I was doubled over laughing at her she said sweetly, "Hi Mommy.")

Posing. Actually, I think she was too scared to move. That snow was deep!

I was spitting snow out of my mouth to get her to laugh. She was so ready to get inside. "Boots off. Mommy, boots off!"

Since it has been forever....

I'll post some highlights of the last couple of months.

New haircut! The mullet is gone!

Reading the church bulletin. That a girl!

Santa!

We went to our local Ebby office and Lu had her picture taken with Santa.

Feeling the Christmas spirit.

"This is fun!"

"What a sec! Who is this stranger and why am I on his LAP?"

"Glad that is over!"

Huckleberry Hill Farm in Springfield, TN

John and I took Lucy to a farm this past Saturday. She had a lot of fun! There was lots to do and see.

Waiting for Daddy to pay.

Pumpkins galore!

She was so funny with this pig. They just stared at each other.

She liked the chickens.

And she LOVED this calf. She stood there for the longest time looking at this sweet baby cow.

There were lots of things for big kids to do but we found a slide that was her size.

Mom and Lu being silly.

We move to Dallas this weekend so we will be out of pocket for a bit!!

Trip to Knoxville

Since our move back to Dallas is happening in just a few weeks we decided to head to Knoxville for John's high school homecoming. We reconnected with dear friends and had a wonderful time. The parents of John's oldest and dearest friend hosted us at their beautiful home on the Tennessee River. It was glorious!

Lucy at the game.

Having fun in the gym at the alumni dinner.

Allison and her son Cooper, Megan (my maid of honor and one of my best friends in the entire world), me and a less than impressed Lucy.

It was such a delight to my soul to visit with these kiddos. This is Claire and Walker and I cared for them while I was in college. Claire was born during my time with her family and I took care of Walker from the time he was 2 until I moved home when he was about 6. They are so precious to me!! Walker and his big sister Caitlin (off in college) were in my wedding.

We were so lucky that our hostess Mrs. Lind had not only a crib set up but also toys galore. Lucy's favorite was this high chair. We know what Santa will need to bring this year.

Look at this beautiful view! Lucy loved the wide open space.

She also loved the pretty garden and climbing the stairs.

Daddy and Lucy on the dock. Mommy was biting her nails hoping Lucy would not break into one of her famous sprints and head for the water.

Mommy getting a tickle from Lucy.

John and one of his lifelong friends, the one and only Nathan Lind!

For Grammy

Here is a picture of Lucy and me a week ago before church. This is her pretty dress Great Mimi and Great Poppou (Linda and Earle) gave her for her birthday. She LOVES butterflies right now so it is a current favorite.

Sweet daddy and Lucy.
